Metanoia is an Esoteric Circle dedicated to perpetuating and disseminating Christian Esotericism in the most practical and direct aspects of mysticism, without neglecting the philosophical scope that guides this path.
In today's world, there are so many distortions in communication and the information found, especially on the internet, that to better understand what Metanoia is, it would be easier to start by understanding what it is not.
We are not an institution; we have no temples; there are no positions; no hierarchy; there are no relationships of dependence or domination between members; there are no dogmas; as a rule, there is no monetary involvement; we do not accept donations; we are also not a group formed by gurus, sages, masters, or "owners of the truth," because we understand that the truth does not belong to us but that we belong to the Truth.
We do not consider ourselves the only path to the Truth; we know there are others as authentic as ours. We are not even the only path of Christian Esotericism. There are other authentic circles with good work being done, including our members who have complete freedom to know and research other paths because we understand that comparison is a powerful tool for understanding eternal truths. Comparisons with other teachings are usually made in our meetings (conducted by the circle's guide).
We are simply brothers and sisters on the path who lovingly and fraternally share the knowledge passed on to us by the masters of our esoteric tradition. The more experienced are the main transmitters of gnosis, but everyone contributes to and benefits from the exchanges of experience and knowledge.
As a sign of respect and love for our ideal, we altruistically and freely transmit gnosis to those who sincerely wish to receive it.
The independence of members is highly valued, but there are a few rules without which it would not be possible to maintain order and the smooth running of the Circle's work and meetings.
As a master once said: “Absolute truth can be compared to a multifaceted gem, whose various faces reflect the light of universal truth uniquely. Each of these facets expresses a different color, symbolizing the various spiritual paths that lead to the truth. Sages, masters, prophets, and teachers of all times and places have significantly contributed to expanding our understanding of the Absolute Being and the Divine Plan.”
Christian Esotericism represents one of the faces of this great gem of Universal Truth. About 20 centuries ago, Yeshua Emmanuel, known to us all as Jesus the Christ, was born among us, coming directly from the Absolute Being, and taught us through words and actions the purest, most direct, and divine teachings for the elevation of consciousness.
In the early 20th century (1912), a Self-Realized Master of our Spiritual Tradition, who has been reincarnating over the centuries since the time of Golgotha, incarnated with the task of restoring and delivering to those who wished the sublime teachings of Christian Esotericism faithful to its original form, but updated and adapted for modern times.
This great soul, whom we simply call Brother-Guide in our circle, taught through words, actions, and personal example, manifesting in daily life the teachings he professed. He lovingly carried out this mission for over 70 years, beginning his apostolate at the age of 7.
He helped all those who sought him, asking for help and healing not only for the physical body but also for the heart and soul. He was a channel for the Invisible Masters of this path to manifest (especially the beloved Yohannan – John the Evangelist), expressing the Love, Wisdom, and Power typical of those who have reached the goal.
As one of the authentic circles of Christian Esotericism, Metanoia operated until recently, not in secret but discreetly and reservedly, away from curious eyes, being restricted to those invited by its members to participate in the Circle. However, the Circle's coordinators understood that there was a real need to open its activities because there are seekers looking for the original teachings of Primitive Christianity but unable to find a school in Brazil that transmits gnosis (both practical and theoretical) in an orderly, systematic manner, with clear language in Portuguese.
